The 2026 update of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for Ocean Energy

The Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for Ocean Energy is being updated in 2026 to reflect the sector’s latest needs. The update follows the European Commission’s recent revision of the Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan governance framework. As part of this process, the SRIA developed by ETIP Ocean in 2024 will be reviewed and updated to ensure it continues to provide a relevant framework for research and innovation in ocean energy.

OEFS supports this process by contributing to the collection of feedback from the ocean energy community through a short survey. The survey gives stakeholders the opportunity to review the current SRIA and share their views on areas that could be reflected in the 2026 update.

The feedback gathered through the survey will support targeted revisions based on common views expressed by respondents, helping ensure that the updated SRIA reflects the current state and direction of the ocean energy sector.
